Terms of use
The terms this site and the client portal are provided on.
An audit engagement itself is governed by its engagement letter. See also privacy and data processing.
What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of this website and, for invited users, the Innate Audit client portal. An audit engagement itself is governed by the engagement letter agreed with the client — where these terms and an engagement letter differ, the engagement letter wins for that engagement.
The website
The pages on this site describe our services and how we work. They are general information, not professional advice, and nothing here creates an auditor–client relationship. A quote request is an invitation for us to talk, not an engagement.
We aim to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.
The client portal
Portal access is by invitation, for the people a client authorises on its engagement. Keep your sign-in to yourself, use the portal only for the engagement it belongs to, and tell us promptly if you believe an account is compromised.
What happens in the portal is recorded. Audit documentation, including what you supply through the portal, is retained and protected as auditing standards require — see the data processing page.
Replies to audit confirmation requests are made through the individual link we send; a reply is a statement to the auditors and must be made by the party we addressed it to.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to gain access you have not been given, probe or disrupt the service, or use the site or portal to send anything unlawful or malicious. We may suspend access that puts the service or client data at risk.
Intellectual property
The content, design and software of this site and the portal are ours or our licensors'. Clients own their records; our working papers are ours, as is usual for auditors.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website content, and liability in respect of an audit is dealt with in the engagement letter.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
