How it works

The same audit. Less headache and less money.

The work we do is the work International Standards on Auditing (UK) require. What changes is how much of it lands on your desk, how much you can see while it is happening, and how much it costs.

  1. 01

    Acceptance and planning

We confirm we can act, agree the fee and issue the engagement letter. You grant read-only access to the folders holding your records and relevant systems, and we start collecting. Our agents draft risk assessments, audit plans and audit tests. Often work will be re-performed. Other agents reconcile all of this. Your auditor oversees, directs and signs off on the planning and fieldwork.

    What it costs you

About ten minutes of your IT team's time, and an online form, or a conversation with a human or agent, about anything unusual this year.

  2. 02

    Fieldwork

We test the balances the plan identified. Most evidence comes from the records we already hold, so the questions you get are the ones that genuinely need you — a judgement, an explanation, a signature on a confirmation.

    What it costs you

Answering questions at your convenience as they arrive in the portal. No mindless lists. Work asynchronously. If you want, speak to an agent on your commute.

  3. 03

    Completion

We evaluate what we found, discuss anything material with you before it becomes a surprise, and finalise the financial statements. Where a second partner review is required, it happens here.

    What it costs you

Reviewing the draft accounts and the points we raise. No surprises at this stage if we have done our job.

  4. 04

    Report and file

The audit report is signed by a qualified partner at our firm.

    What it costs you

Signing. Then not thinking about it for a year.
