How we write

How we write our guides

Innate is a software company that builds audit software. Our guides explain UK company law, accounting and auditing. They are researched and drafted with AI assistance, then checked before they publish.

  • Sources. Every date, threshold, section number and figure is checked against the primary source: legislation, the FRC, ICAEW, Companies House or GOV.UK. We link to it where we rely on it.
  • Checks. Each guide is reviewed for accuracy line by line by an AI reviewer, then checked again against those sources, independently, by a separate AI reviewer that has not seen the drafts, before it goes live. Where a point of law is unclear, we say so rather than pick a reading.
  • Responsibility. Alon Zieve FCA, a Fellow of the ICAEW, a CFO for more than two decades and the founder of Innate, is responsible for every guide and reviews each one after it publishes. Corrections are made the same day, and the "Last reviewed" date changes only when the guide has actually been reviewed.
  • Figures. Worked examples are calculated, not written out by a model.
  • Who wrote it. Our guides are written by Innate, not by the audit firm we work with, and are not its views or its advice.

Our guides are general information, not advice. If you spot an error, tell us at info@innateaudit.com.
